daily painting

Hello!

Wow, what a day, what a day! I am posting another painting! Yes, that means two posts in one day, and I think this one is very cool, the epitimy of summer relaxed! Enjoy!

By the way, I am headed for Fountain Square Art Festival, Evanston, Illinois, this weekend. If you're in town, do drop by.

Good morning!

Wow, it's summer in Iowa already. The pooch and I did not get out for our run until about 6:45 and it was already getting too warm for that nonsense.

Here's a painting for you, actually yesterday's painting. I tried to take a photo of it last night but the lighting was making the red look orange. Today it looks a bit more acurate.

A Painting A Day

Good Morning!

Our art center studio group met last night after a two week hiatus. It felt good to be back! I got fairly well along with a piece, and then this morning at five minutes until 7:00 I had the compelling desire to splodge more paint on it. I kind of like what happened, possibly too much a.m. coffee, but then we all know about too much control.

commission

Good morning!

Today we have a lovely little rain shower, with just a smidjeon of thunder, happening in Iowa. How's that for a local weather report?

After rereading my post from yesterday, it occurred to me that you might think I am sitting idlely by, rather than painting. No way hosea. You see, there's this big commissioned project I am working on. We commenced it's planning way last October and I assumed we'd start it quickly. Not to be. I finally got the go-ahead Mid-April. So with ordering canvases and getting everything ready, I can now finally claim to be halfway completed, or there abouts. Ok, here I go to paint.
