Dick Blick trip

Hello,

So much for a painting a day---or did we agree that weekends don't count?

The Spencer Coopers survived yet another blizzard and celebrated by driving through the end of it to get to Iowa City. That's called a four hour trip becomes a six hour trip. But Abbie had flown into the Quad Cities to get to Iowa City for a University of Iowa visit so of course we went too. Abbie made it, Lindsey and Chris made it, and we made it---a good time was had by all. Abbie made beautiful music, we ate lots of food and played Yahtzee. It was a blizzard weekend, what did you expect?

As for painting, as close as I got to painting for the weekend, was the mention in the title; a trip to Dick Blick, where I did, by the way, hit a very cool sale and score a portfolio to lug canvases around in. Yes, I went to buy paint, not a portfolio, but when the opportunity strikes, some things we must do. (mentally insert the little smiley face guy with sunglasses on here, because I can't find him on this page)

Yes, as a matter of fact, it IS late. Maybe you'll get a painting post tomorrow!
