A "painting a day"

Hello and happy Tuesday!

I have a quick little painting to share today.

We went to a fundraiser with a Haiti focus, at our church Sunday evening. A group of people had been down to Haiti delivering rice, and visiting a school, Guimby School, where the lunch program is funded by our church. Wow, pretty cool, huh? They brought back several pieces of work done by local artisans that they encountered in the area. A very cool little wooden pot managed to come home with us.

The attached painting is a quick look at the pot, trying to figure out how I want to put it into a large still life. As it is, the study is about 14.5 inches square on gessoed paper.

Later, Karen
